GAPS IN THE WIND

BY JENEANE HUGGINS

This original dance drama was a collaboration between dance and theatre. I was able to learn about both lighting for a theatre show and lighting for dance. As deck electrician, I was backstage during the show and had the task of repairing any lights that went out. With thirty dancers running off the stage in the dark, many of the light trees were broken and needed to be fixed in an instant. I worked with conventional and LED fixtures and learned design concepts and more about how to be an electrician.
